Your deductible and copayments will vary depending on your plan and where you are in your plan benefit (i.e what phase of the benefit you’re in based on your year-to-date drug costs). Under Medicare Part D, there may be an annual deductible, and then copayments or coinsurance for costs above the deductible up to an initial limit. Omnicare is a preferred pharmacy provider in two National Medicare Part D plans that provide coverage in 44 states.*
*The following states are excluded from the preferred pharmacy status: AK, DE, HI, ND, VT, and WY.
The Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 (MMA) established the Medicare Part D program, which makes available coverage for outpatient prescription drug coverage to Medicare beneficiaries. Medicare Part D covers many brand-name or generic prescriptions through pharmacies in your area. It provides protection for those who have high drug costs or may have unexpected drug bills in the future. All people with Medicare – no matter how they receive their health care today or whether they have existing drug coverage – are potentially eligible for drug coverage under Medicare Part D.
You can enroll in a Medicare prescription drug plan:
In most cases, you have the option to apply online at either the plan’s website or at www.medicare.gov/find-a-plan/.
Omnicare has partnered with eHealth, Inc. to develop the OmniPlanFinder tool that identifies the most cost-effective Medicare prescription drug plan for you based on the drugs you indicate that you are currently taking in order to help simplify the Medicare Part D enrollment process.* You can use the tool to get greater visibility into projected annual prescription drug costs and coverage details. Visit the OmniPlanFinder or call our Resident Care Center at 1-888-402-3192 for more information.
*Note that not all Medicare Part D plans are included within OmniPlanFinder.
Omnicare provides best-in-class pharmacy services to senior living residents. We're dedicated to enabling long-term care teams to provide their residents with the medications they need - safely, effectively and efficiently - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Residents can take advantage of Omnicare’s best-in-class medication management programs. Omnicare Consultant Pharmacists are valued members of each community’s interdisciplinary team, and assist the staff by regularly reviewing medication charts. These evaluations can reveal possibly harmful medication interactions and duplications, in addition to providing an opportunity for pharmacists to recommend alternative medications or formulations that may increase the effectiveness of medication regimens. As a part of CVS Health™, together with CVS® Pharmacy and MinuteClinic® we also provide wellness education clinics and vaccination services to residents.
